Mary Rose Starter Model Boat Kit (Static Model)
This is a static model ship kit of the Mary Rose, launched in 1511, named after Henry VIII's sister. As she prepared for battle in Portsmouth for the Battle of Spithead, her gunports were left open and an unexpected gust of wind tilted her too far and she rapidly filled up with water and sank. She was raised in 1982 and is now on display in Portsmouth Dockyard. This is an ideal starter kit for a beginner to build a model ship kit. It measures 33 cm long and 33 cm high, and 7 cm wide when finished. The kit includes the wooden boat parts, (the hull is ready shaped), sails, nails, flags, thread, one boat nameplate, one paintbrush, one piece of sandpaper, one pot of glue and a 6 cup paint pot. Recommended age is over 14 years.
