The VW T1 Samba Bus, with its split windscreen and a wide variety of two-tone colour schemes, is a firm favourite amongst collectors and this bright variation will undoubtedly continue the trend. In real life, it was the top of the range in luxury and style, based on the original first generation VW T1 of 1951.
Decorated with a bright yellow body and matching wheels, the upper body is painted white including the roof, which incorporates a grey-beige roof panel, replicating the canvas original. The interior is moulded in light cream, including the seats and steering wheel while the dashboard is finished in a rich brown. Exterior trim is chrome and black and the deep white V, trimmed with chrome at the front, also features the VW logo in the centre. Our Samba Bus is registered YFR 278.
This model stirs up memories of firing up that distinctive purring engine and taking to the road with family and everything on board, including the pets!
